Greetings! Ladies and Gentelnerds,

Early yesterday afternoon Marvel and Marvel Studios released the first official poster (and official release date) for next years…

Feb 16, 2018 The King Takes his throne.

With the drop of the poster, word was put out that a teaser trailer would drop later that night.

So, during some sporting event of non importance.. This!.. Awesome tease for the film was released… In Case You Missed It.. Here you go..

Wakanda looks beautiful. And just by looking at most of the promotional concept art of the film,

And looking at the trailer.. This is going to be a beautiful looking movie. I think Black Panther is going to leave a lasting mark on the MCU.

Marvel’s BLACK PANTHER, starring Chadwick Boesman opens next year, Feb 16.

I for one am so fucking hyped!! This was an excellent teaser! What did you folks think? Leave a comment below!

Until next time folks.. Peace out!

“IT’S ALIVE!!: ‘HELLBOY’ Set To Return With R-Rated Reboot!”

A couple of days ago, Hellboy creator Mike Mignola announced on his social media that his baby boy, Hellboy will return to theaters with a R-Rated Reboot with a new cast, crew and writing staff. Further driving in the final nail in the coffin of Del Toro’s Run on the character along with (at this point) the one true Hellboy Ron Perlman

This news comes months after Del Toro himself made this announcment..

So, the Perlman Hellboy sails off in to the sunset. (That sucks!) But! Animation should STILL be an option for all associated with the original films.

Now, according to Mignola and Collider News, Mignola is among the writers behind the reboot. Directing will be “The Descent” Director, Neil Marshall. Even bigger news is the man who will be trying to fill the very large and impressive shoes of Ron Perlman,

David Harbour from “Stranger Things” and many other projects.

Looking at a side by side of the two

David is 6’2. He has a good built. He is still relatively young enough to bulk up and can go the distance of multiple films. He kinda has the chin. He is a really good actor. So.. He’s no Ron Perlman… But i can dig this casting.

The working title is “HELLBOY: RISE OF THE BLOOD WITCH” or something like that.. Again, it is a working title and no official announcment has been made.

Lastly, the fact that the Studio and everyone involved is approaching this with a R-Rated treatment, makes this project very intriguing for me.

Allow me to explain.

Way back when.. I had a Hellboy game for the PlayStation,

Not the most beautiful looking game. But! The story was pretty damn dark and spooky. Very gruesome and intense. Every aspect of the game was pretty darn spooky. Lets just say i did not play this game with the light off. (I was a kid! So sue me) Pure gamers will probably get on my ass about the lousy graphics and controls, but this isnt about the gameplay itself. Im referring to the enviroment the game presented. It was fucking dark! Del Toro’s Hellboy was very light in comparison. Not as dark and twisted. This R-Rated reboot could give Hellboy a chance to really let loose and be the character Mignola had created in the first place.

So, im hyped. Im happy Horn Head is getting another chance to grace the big screen, lets hope they do it justice and do it right. And most importantly, Make It Fun!

What do you folks think? Are you excited for a new interpretation of Hellboy? Hit me up!

Until next time folks.. Peace Out!

Do not fear, There are No Spoilers to be found within this Movie Review.

“ROUGE ONE: A Star Wars Story” or as i would like to call it, ‘Star Wars: Episode 3 3/4- Rouge One, Has finally hit theaters nation/world wide.

Directed by Gareth Edwards

The man behind 2014’s ‘GODZILLA’

Rouge One is only his Second, count em, Second Big Budget Film.. And OMG does he not knock it out of the fucking park! Lets go down the list..

Telling the events of why and how the Rebel Alliance got thier hands on the plans and Blueprints for the original Deathstar.

Rouge One has a brilliant story. You wont realize how badly you wanted to know this story, until you finally see it. Like most Star Wars films.. It drags abit at the start, but once it kicks in to gear, it dont stop. There are a lot of fantastic uses of Easter Eggs and call backs. It plays well in the time frame its placed in, while still feeling fresh and new. Without feeling out of place.

Amazing.. Abdouloutly amazing. Every single character was.. Perfect. There are alot of new faces… And.. Some Old faces in this movie.

(no spoilers) Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso was great, Diego Luna as Cassian Andor was heartfelt. Donnie Yen needs more work in America.. He is fucking awesome as Chirrut Imwe, the Blind ‘jedi-esq’ Force Beliver. The real stand out thou? Alan Tudyk as K2SO

The reprogrammed Imperial Droid that makes up or rag tag team of Rebels. I think he ranks up there with R2 and BB8 in awesomeness. Trust me.. He is badass.

THE POSITIVES: Everything! Gareth Edwards’s great directing. The fantastic Cast. The Writing. Everything is a Positive.

THE NEGATIVES: The dragging start and… Hmm… I cant.. Maybe the.. Ah hell.. I dont really have any negatives to think of. It could have been longer! There. I found one negative. Its just a bit too short.

It’s like that one great blow job you dont want to end.. But it does. Yall know what i mean.. 😉😌

OVERALL: Rouge One: A Star Wars Story.. Is a Beautiful addition to the mythos. It fits perfectly in the time frame. It gives us a batch of new heroes to love. It gives us a good new villain to dispise. And it gives us a chance to find newfound respect for older characters. I give “ROUGE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY” A 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 8/10. A MUST see for any and all Star Wars Fans, new and old! Get your asses to a theater near you and watch this movie.. Then, when you get home, pop in “Episode 4 A NEW HOPE” Everything is gonna make so much more sense. Trust Me.

If you’ve seen Rouge One, what are your thoughts? Did you love it? Hit me up. Leave a comment below, and please follow and subscribe to the blog. Thanks for reading folks.

Until next time folks.. Peace Out!

Its Monday! I figured, maybe mondays should be for Movie Reviews.. So here we are!

Friday, August 5th brought us the premier of WB’s and DC’s second attempt (Not Including Man Of Steel) at building their Cinematic Universe, “SUICIDE SQUAD”, Directed by David Ayer and starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Jared Leto, Cara Delevingne, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Karen Fukuhara, Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje, Jay Hernandez, and Adam Beach.

Well.. What can i say.. *sigh*.. Just when i thought DC/WB couldnt possibly surprise me.. They go and pull this.. AWESOME piece of work out of their hats! Its nowhere near Perfect. But hot damn, they made a really great movie!

THE STORY: Very by the books and probably the movies biggest weak spot. The Story itself is simplistic and straight forward. Meet the team. Problem happens. Assemble the team. Shit goes south. Team pulls together and gets the job done. Kinda that simple really. The plot is very much non important, however.. The Characters themselves, and the actors portrayals of these characters is what carries the film and what makes it work.

THE CAST: Fantastic! This movie wouldnt have worked without them. When Will Smith was originally cast as Deadshot.. I was not on board. At. All.

“Its Will Smith! Theres no way he can be in an ensemble cast. He’ll try to steal the spotlight in the worst way. Will Smith isnt even Will Smith anymore. I wanna see Deadshot, not Will Smith calling himself Deadshot. I want the character, not the actor. This sucks!”

Those Were just a few of the complaints I had. That is until i saw this movie. He did it! Will Smith is now Deadshot! He stood true to the character and didnt take me out of it at all. I saw Deadshot! And i loved it. Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn didnt grab me until about half way in to the start of the film. After that it was smooth sailing. I cant wait for the “GOTHAM CITY SIRENS” Movie with her and whoever else they cast for Ivy and Catwoman. Captain Boomerang.. I was surprised how much i liked him and Jai Courtney’s delivery. Killer Croc.. Looked good.. But.. Kinda waisted, in my opinion. Viola Davis’s Amanda Waller, was spot on! she was the perfect amount of Evil Bitch that the character IS! I want more Waller/Davis in theDCECU!  And lastly.. Jared Leto’s Joker.. He isnt used a lot in the film. ( As it has been reported, a good chunk of his work was edited out.) So.. For me.. I didnt get enough Joker, to actually have an overall like.. “Its up there with Ledger and Nicholson and Hamil” kind of an opinin. But, What i CAN say is… Its a very uniqe approach to the character. While also respecting most of the source material. (its clear he took inspiration from something.. Just cant put my finger on it) But for me.. It was really very good, and i want to see what more he can bring to the role.

What is abundantly clear though, is the chemistry this cast had with each other. It translated very well on the screen and i want them together again. They clearly had fun working together and on this project.

THE POSITIVES: Mainly.. The cast and Characters are the real winners here. They saved the movie. They made it what it was. A fun, entertaining summer comic book film. The Directing was top notch.. So much so, that i am extremly interested in seeng David Ayers directors cut of this movie. If this is what he can do when its not his cut, then who knows how much awesomer his version must be.

THE NEGATIVES: The Plot. The editing. The Narritive. Its amazing how good a film can be, even when the story itself is… Rather Bland and non important. There really wasn’t much of a sense of.. Urgency to the climactic battle. The movie is soley helped by the characters and their stories and interactions with each other. If that didnt work. Then the whole film would have been a disaster. There was a Waste of some characters. Some Felt like they did not need to be there at all, and there was no connection between, us, the viewers and the characters (Namely Croc, Katana, and Enchantress.) The editing was shotty at best. You can clearly see where cuts were made and certain scenes didnt follow each other correctly. Not as terrible of a job as BVS.  But still noticable. WB needs to desperately learn how to trust the filmakers they get for these movies, like David Ayer, and NOT trust the Zack Snyders of the industry. Should have had just a  bit  more Batman though..

OVERALL: Weak script. By the book plot development. Low par editing, and story structure normaly means for a shit-tacular movie. But! massive amounts of Fun, Action and great Character portrayals and character storytelling, (and! May i add, a pretty badass soundtrack) helped make SUICIDE SQUAD the top DC Extended Cinematic Universe film, so far. (We’re waiting on YOU now,  WONDER WOMAN) BVS was a bit of a tumble out of the gate for the DCECU.. But Suicide Squad picked this universe right back up to its feet and got it sprinting!

I give “SUICIDE SQUAD” a score of… ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 7 1/2 out of 10. Not Perfect, But Fucking Fun and Awesome! A Good Time At the Movies!

P.S although not a spoiler.. I will say this.. Stay after the first set of credits. Not the best after credits scene.. But DC/WB are starting to get the idea of how building a universe works.

Well.. That’s my review. Tell me what you think.. And FOR FUCKS SAKE!! SUBSCRIBE TO THE BLOG! Comment below or hit me up on the usual sites. Thx for reading..

So, Until next time Folks… Peace Out!

Greetings! Ladies and Gentelnerds. And welcome to yet another exciting edition of.. SPOILER FILLED MOVIE REVIEWS!

Based off of the original Graphic Novel by ALAN MOORE and BRIAN BOLLAND, Of the same Name. “The Killing Joke” is DC’s very first R rated Animated Feature.

First off.. The reason this review is a spoiler filled version is because.. The movie is very heavily based off a book that was written nearly 30 years ago.. If you still haven’t read it yet..  The Fuck Is Wrong With You?! However! The added material that is not from the book, which centers on Batgirl. May constitute as a SPOILER for those of you who have not seen the Movie as of Yet. So be fore warned.. There Be Spoilers Ahead me mateys!

THE STORY: The story itself starts off at least a month before the events of ‘The Killing Joke’ proper.  Focusing mainly on Barbra Gordon and her relationship with Batman, prior her hanging up the cape as Batgirl. When an up and coming mafia hand proves the thorne in Her side. Batgirl’s relationship with Batman is pushed to the emotional brink. A relationship already made complicated when they have sex. (yes.. They really do have sex. Its not shown of course. Its not that kind of R rated movie.) When her new foe nearly pushes her over that sacred line, she decides to hang up the cowl. A month later, the events of The Killing Joke come into play.

With a few tweeks to dialogue and added scenes to deepen the story. The Killing Joke stays rather faithful to the source material. Probably the most faithful Comic to Animation adaptation ive seen in a while.

THE CAST: With legends such as Mark Hamil and Kevin Conroy returning to voice The Joker and Batman respectively, its hard to speak ill of any of the cast. However.. There is a weak point in my opinion. Ray Wise’s turn as Jim Gordon.. Wasn’t very strong. When such actors and voice talents like Bryan Cranston,  Bob Hastings, Gary Oldman and many others.. Ray’s voice talents fell flat for me.

THE NEGATIVES: Ray Wise as Jim Gordon was a bit of a let down. And I while im being completley honest.. The Batgirl prolouge to the story wasnt a shit fest like most say.. BUT! It would have worked a whole lot more as a seperate Batgirl centric Short or apart of a full length Batgirl piece. But as a direct tie in to the events of the Killing Joke was not the best idea. On the other hand.. After much deliberation on the matter.. The parallels that the segment was  SUPPOSED to portray is in fact necessary. (Allow me to exolain) The antagonist of Batgirls story was an annoying and dangerous prick! His obnoxus antics towards Batgirl began driving the wedge between herself and Batman. She felt he was the cause of all the her recent problems.. And she wanted to remove him from her life. She was nearly pushed to that edge. She nearly beat the man to death. She almost lost it. That sentiment was supposed to mirror Batman and Joker’s relationship. Joker contantly nearly pushes Batman to that breaking point. What If Batman broke? What if Batman crossed that line? What If Batman Killed the Joker? After everything The Joker has done.. (especially in this story) Could Batman allow this man to live any further?!

So the involvment of Batgirls story is relativly justifiable.. Unfortunately.. It didnt work in context. It would have served better in another format. Like a prequal animated short.

THE POSITIVES: I never ever want Mark Hamil and Kevin Conroy to stop voicing these two characters! Hearing them in these characters, brings a smile to my heart. And to have them bring to life such a classic story was magical! The art was great of course. The parts that did stay true to the Book was a delight to see. It really is the most spot on faithful retellings of a Graphic Novel I’ve seen in a long time.

OVERALL: Batman: The Killing Joke was Awesome! I think it is safe to say that this one would be in my top 10 of DC Animated Original Movies! I give “BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE” A ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 6/10 It may not be perfect.. But damn, it was good!

BTW: The question of whether or not Batman Kills the Joker at the end is finally answered.. YES.. Yes he does! He straights up chokes or Breakes his neck! It may not be shown.. But common sense and simple math will tell you.. At the end of the Killing Joke.. Batman. KILLS. The Joker!

Let me know your thoughts! Did you see the movie? What did you like or didnt like? Do you think Batman kills Joker? Is it still up to interpretation? You tell me! Thanks for reading..

So, Until Next Time Folks… Peace Out!
